Detection tuning

The right values depend on your pickup, interface and room. If notes appear when you are not playing, the gate is too low. If quiet playing is ignored, it is too high. Measure first, then adjust by ear.

Signal below this is ignored entirely.
Higher means a note must jump further above the previous level to count as new.
How confident the pitch estimate must be before a note is reported.
Minimum gap between two detected attacks. Raise it if one pluck registers twice.

Latency calibration

Eight clicks, one second apart. Mute the strings with your palm and strike on each click. This measures the delay through your whole chain, which is the number every timing judgement is corrected by.

Notes heard
Chord detection

Strum and hold. Chord recognition is deliberately coarse: it answers "was that a G major?" rather than transcribing a voicing.

Event log

Needs https:// or localhost; browsers block microphone access otherwise. If the note reading jumps an octave, lower minClarity. If single notes register twice, raise onsetRatio. If quiet playing is ignored, lower noiseGate.
